1818; proved 1843 To his excellency Sir Charles Metcalf, Governor General of the Province of Canada. In council, the petition of Nicholas C. Gifford, of the township of Mosa in the London District, farmer, humbly showeth that your Excellency petitioner was located by the Honorable Colonel Talbot in the year 1818 upon a lot of one hundred acres of land in the said township of Mosa liable to Settlement duties which he hath performed and ready to pay the fees that may be required. The said lot being the North half of Lot no. nineteen (19) in the Second Concession of the said township of Mosa. Wherefore your Excellency's petitioner humbly pray that your Excellency will be pleased to grant him the said Lot and your Excellency's petitioner as in duty bound will every pray.
