Mary R. Harris, 89, of Brown Apartments, Apt. 45, Taylor Park, Reedsville, died at 1:55 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 29, 2000, at Lewistown Hospital.
Born Nov. 7, 1910, in Mount Union, she was a daughter of the late James C. and Martha (Morgan) Gifford. Her husband, Thomas J. Harris, whom she married Dec. 31, 1937, survives.
Also surviving are: children, Thomas D. Harris, 239 Park Drive, Reedsville, and Joyce Clark, Cromwell, Conn.; sisters, Jane Gifford, Huntingdon, Helen Barber, Mount Union, and Grace Atp, Dayton, Ohio; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
She was a homemaker and, earlier in life, she was a production employee for 18 years at Cluett-Peabody Shirt Factory, Lewistown.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Private interment will be in Gilland Cemetery, Orbisonia.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Kish Valley Grace Brethren Church, Taylor Park, Reedsville, PA 17084.
Hoenstine Funeral Home Inc., 75 Logan St., Lewistown, is in charge of arrangements.
