P. Jayne GIFFORD, 79, of 1014 Mifflin St., Huntingdon, formerly of Mount Union, died at 3:10 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6, 2002, at Westmister Woods, Huntingdon, where she has resided for the past two weeks. Death followed an extended illness.
Born Aug. 13, 1923, in Mount Union, she was a daughter of the late James and Martha (Morgan) Gifford.
She is survived by two sisters: Helen Barben of Mount Union and Grace App of Cincinnati, Ohio. She was preceded in death by the following brothers and sisters: Preston Gifford, Clair Gifford, Veda Hazzard, Mary Harris and Paul Gifford.
Miss Gifford was a member of the Mount Union Presbyterian Church, Mount Union. Most recently, she had been employed by the American Cancer Society, Huntingdon. For many years she was a secretary for Attorney R. Merle Heffner, Huntingdon, and at one time had been employed by the former L. Greif Brothers Manufacturing Company, Mount Union.
Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of the Robert D. Heath Funeral Home, Mount Union.
