Services for Robert Carroll McMath, 77, of Denton will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Cliff Feeler officiating. The Rev. Russell Ware will assist. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park under direction of Mulkey-Mason/Jack Schmitz & Son Funeral Home. McMath died Monday, Oct. 14, 1996, in Denton. He was born June 29, 1919, in Dallas. He married Roberta Ellison on Aug. 7, 1941, in Lubbock. He was a member and deacon of First Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. He graduated from Lubbock High School and Texas Tech University. He was a teacher and band director for the Denton Independent School District. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Bill of Lewisville and Bob of Atlanta, Ga.; and two grandchildren. The family suggests memorials to Denton County Alzheimer's Association in care of Paul Chandler, First State Bank, P.O. Box 100, Denton 76202.
