MARY NOOE Mrs. Mary Revercomb Nooe, age 85 of Waynesboro, VA and formerly of Frankfort, died Thursday, February 29, 1996, at the Lynchburg General Hospital, Lynchburg, VA. She was born March 17, 1910 in Clifton Forge, VA and was the daughter of the late Dr. William McMath and Bertha Campbell Revercomb. She was the widow of Ansel Jewell Nooe. A graduate of Randolph Macon Women's college and a member of the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. she was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian church in Waynesboro, VA and had been an active member of the First Christian Church in Frankfort. She was a homemaker and a retired schoolteacher. She is survived by two daughters and their husbands: Jean Nooe Miller and Richard A. Miller, of Swoope, VA, Elizabeth Nooe Hulette and Layton T. Hulette, Richmond, VA; seven grandchildren. A memorial service was held in Lynchburg, VA, Saturday, March 2, and a graveside interment service was at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, March 3, in Spring Hill Cemetery, conducted by Dr. John C. Chenault and Dr. Paul Stauffer. Memorial contributions are suggested to: Randolph Macon Women's college, 2500 Rivermont Ave., Lynchburg, VA 24503 or the Roger T. Nooe Memorial Fund, Lexington Theological Seminary, 631 S. Limestone, Lexington, KY 40508, or the charity of your choice. McClellan Funeral Home was in charge of local arrangements.
